Noisy le Roi... But Kinda Quiet

Forgive me for the big gap since my last post, but as many of you know, I had to cut the Au Pair gig short because of some unforeseen conflicts with my host family. No, they didn't make me live in the basement or force me into hard labor or anything like that (the basement was really cool by the way); in fact, they were very giving and accommodating folks that unfortunately had some structural issues to work out... issues that I felt were best resolved without any outside interference or influence--and we all know how interfering and influential I can be!

I was slightly disappointed for not being able to stay in such an interesting country for a while longer, but the Lord directs my path, and I stay faithful to the fact that these unexpected turns and twists all happen under the carefully calculated care and guidance of His love. I look forward to looking back on how this situation lent to my growth, and/or how others were affected by it. I also look forward to the next adventure.

Speaking of paths, here's a few photos of the quaint little town I stayed in called Noisy le Roi

Before I leave, I take a picture of the view outside my room.

Everything seemed like it was a block away from the house. The train station, the grocery store the bank, the school, and this quaint little park.

Except for this forrest trail that was 2 blocks away.

Not too many people 'round this time of day

Here's the town's "patisserie," or pastry shop. This would be one of the many I would find in France. I sampled some amazing confectionery creations that only the French could imagine up. It was common to see people walking around with a long baguettes in their hand--something people eat almost as often as they ate rice in Asia.

It was great to experience this laid-back place for a while, especially since my next stop would be one of biggest tourist destinations in the world...
